The Plague of lazy Christianity

Sometimes I think this is what has caused the most problems..   People assume that we can be lazy as followers of the Father in Heaven.

"The bible was written for dumb people so since I'm dumb I don't have to study hard"

What a lie satan has given everyone.   1st of all..   we are insulting the heavenly father by saying he made us stupid.
2ndly, why would we be happy with that?  Do we truly love YHWH so little that we aren't willing to pour our all into learning what he wants for us?   Are we truly so lazy that we aren't willing to make learning his heart our lifes mission?  Are we truly so careless about our YHWH that we don't want to make sure that what we believe is the truth?

Don't buy into the lie that YHWH doesn't like study.

Study to show theyself approved unto YHWH.  someone that needs not to be ashamed!
Be like the Beherans.  they didn't accept what Paul was saying until they had searched out the Torah to make sure what he had to say was the truth (hint hint.. if they were searching Torah to PROVE Paul's message they would never have accepted him if he was teaching ANTI Torah stuff).

Don't be happy lukewarm!  Wake up and get on fire.. dig into the word and let it overcome you.   Let it overtake your life and become your passion.   We will stumble on the way and still meet hardships but do it knowing that YHWH is in control and his hands are in all things.   Don't be lazy folks.. work hard for YHWH.

When was the "church" first mentioned?

I received some literature today with a few statements.. I thought I'd address the first one here. :)

Myth- the first mention of the church is when Jesus said he would build up his church.

Is that the case?  Did the "church" exist before then?   Let's go to scripture to prove this instead of just making this assumption.

- Ac 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Here we clearly see the "church" mentioned in context with Mt Sina and Moses, This verse specifically calls Israel the church, well BEFORE Jesus.

Let's not just take pastors words for things!  Don't assume that just because a pastor wrote something "like this is the first time the "church" existed" that it's accurate!  search it out for yourselves!  See what the Bible has to say about things instead of the pastors!

As another.. this same literature, as a way of REFUTING The sabbath says the BIBLE calls it YHWH's sabbath!  as a way of REFUTING the sabbath!!  Wake up my loved ones!  Open your eyes!  I love you and YHWH is calling for you!   This literature even admit's it's our heavenly fathers day!   Please Please.. listen!   search for the truth and pray!  He is calling you!  It says pentacost was important because it was a sunday.  Pentacost was important because it was PENTACOST!   Please, I beg and plead with you all.. awake!   We love you so much and it truly hurts our hearts that so many are blind to his words.

Paul's Message

This is a very brief look at what Paul was teaching in some passages of Romans.

Ro 2:1 ¶ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
17 ¶ Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Ro 3:1 ¶ What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19 ¶ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Ro 8:1 ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 ¶ And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Ro 10:1 ¶ Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

OK, load these passages into your RAM in your brain and reason with me. Let's tie this all together, this is all one long thought process Paul is taking us through, it is a letter expalining how we are saved, not some verses and chapters to cut and paste and make up our own ideas from. What is this man trying to tell us? Who was he talking to, and what was their problem? How was he addressing the problem? This is probably the most important subject in the bible we could fail to understand. Paul's letter to the Romans is the hingepin of the explanation of what role does the Messiah play in our salvation, and what role does the Messiah in the form of His WORD, the Torah, play in our salvation, and what role does His Holy Spirit play in our salvation. The answer is we need all 3 in our life!!! Let's examine Paul's discourse on this:

Who was he talking to and what was the debate or problem about?? Answer: Ro 10:1 ¶ Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Paul informs them that this is not a correct way to obtain salvation. Why? The Word says there is life in keeping the law? He addresses this issue: 5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. And Paul himself teaches this is the case here: 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. So it seems like the Jews have a good argument for their brand of the Gospel, which teaches perfection is obtained by keeping laws. Paul explains that there is a righteousness of the law, and God certainly wants us to try to achieve that, but it is impossible. Thus, the problem. He says: 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. So it seems like we are in a pickle here. If you are doomed for not trying to keep the law, and doomed when you do try to keep the law but fail, how can we be saved??? And why even have a law? Paul answers this question, but only after making it abundantly clear, that everyone is a sinner, no matter how self righteous they may decieve themselves into thinking they are. He says: 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. This is a parallel teaching of 1 Jn 3:4. Simply put, the law just tells us how God Himself lives, and He has instructed us like a Father instructs His children in ways that are good and healthy and right and safe to live in. He punishes for disobedience, because if He tolerated it, nobody would try to walk in His ways and be like Him. Even with the curses for sins, the whole world partakes in them and chooses to bring on this pain on themselves rather than following in God's ways. Since God has given this law, it gives Him the right to justly punish those who break it: Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? 19 ¶ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. So the whole world stands in need of saving from this disobedience and a reminding of how they should be living. Paul tells us the solution to the problem: 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Again, all have sinned. All need help. There is punishment for sin and that is spiritual death (Ro 6:23) The answer is Jesus paid the price, he died that death that was required for the sins of the world. But, we die with Him: 10 ¶ And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. There are other parallel passages in Romans and Galatians and Colossians that explain we die with Christ. This death is shown in an outward action of baptism. But the death takes place in the heart, the circumcision of the heart, is the cutting off of the fleshly man, the fleshly mind, etc. The death to the desire to serve sin (break the law.) But how is this really helping us? Yes, His blood paid the price for our sins. But what if we keep sinning after we believe? Is this OK? Is this a license to sin? And how are we righteous before God simply by believing on Jesus? I mean, what difference does that make? If one man is doing the exact same things as another man, but one believes in Jesus, will he be saved and the other damned? They are both breaking the law. Paul answers these questions. Again, it is explaining how to be righteous and in good standing with God and obtain eternal life and not death.

First, let's see what it is about faith in Jesus that makes us righteous. Aside from the forgiveness of sins, how is it that now that we believe in Him, we can stay in good standing as imperfect humans that are going to mess up from time to time? Paul answers this: 5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. So remember, not sinning is keeping the law, but this is impossible to do perfectly, everyone is a sinner. But this is the standard of righteousness in God's eyes. The solution? Ro 8:1 ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Finally some straight answers from Paul! Jesus lived the law perfectly, what we all can't do. This was what God wanted from all of us, but knew we couldn't do it. So by His great mercy and grace, He gave His own life in the form of the Son in the flesh on the cross. But it doesn't stop there. The transistion of this perfect righteousness is fulfilled in us how? How does that perfect required righteousness now transfer to us? By faith in Jesus that He did come to earht and accomplish this for us. When we do that, He puts His Spirit in our hearts and now we cry as adopted sons, Father, Father! It is also described as being clothed in His righteousness, in the parable of the wedding garment and Isaiah:

Isa 61:10 ¶ I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Paul says we put on Jesus:

Ro 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Ga 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

So now when God looks at you, he sees the robe of Jesus righteousness and His blood atonement covers your sins.

But there is more teaching to understand that people don't. We don't get a get out of keeping the law free card. Paul clarifies himself so we don't get this idea. The whole point of all this was to fix the problem that we broke the law and that was sin and the penalty was death. Why in the world would we then get the idea that we can now sin or do away with the law which simply defines sin? In Romans 2 Paul was speaking of how we needed to keep the law because that is what causes punishment when we break it. In Romans 3 he goes on to explain this is impossible to do so perfectly that you can save yourself by doing it. Everyone is a sinner and needs some help from God to make this right. Speaking of the law Paul goes on: 18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

So we see four things. The law is valid because it is instructions, the truth, and a light, and His will!! All of this can be verified with tons of verses from the old testament, but to save time lets move on. Paul also said: 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

How is the law established? It sounds like all I need is faith, if I just cut and paste Paul's other verses. Because the law tells us we are sinners and need salvation by grace and faith. If you take away the law, then God can't judge mankind and we are innocent and don't need grace or Jesus. Let's look at a few other things: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

What is living after the flesh? What causes death? Sin. What defines sin? Breaking the law. If you abolish the law at the cross, now we can't teach men they are sinners and God can't judge the world, and there is no way of knowing if you are walking in the flesh or the Spirit except your own conscience which differs from person to person and culture to culture. If you establish the law, and it is valid, and still teaches us what is right, then with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we now have the power to not break the law, and if we quench the Spirit and mess up and break the law, then we are still righteous if we mantain faith and a circumcised heart, because walking in the Spirit is not a perfection, but it is a journey to perfection, layered by God's amazing grace and mercy and the covering blood of Jesus. This is the solution to sin. It is not a liscence to sin. Paul said it this way in several places:

Ro 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Ga 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Is Paul saying the law is done away with in the book of Galatians? Let's investigate: 18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. What does the bible degine as a transgression: 1Jo 3:4 ¶ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. This might be kind of hard to do if the law is abolished. So what is Paul saying in Galatians? The same thing he said in Romans. You can't keep enough laws to be saved or righteous on your own. You need faith that Jesus covered those sins, and covers you in His righteousness and lives in your heart to help you not sin. When you do sin, John says ask forgiveness and stay in the faith and walk of seeking to be like Messiah, and do not turn away and go back into loving the world and not trying to keep His commandments.

¶ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 ¶ And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7 ¶ Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

His Way or the Highway

What does the Word of God define as God’s ways? Did you know that He has declared to us His personal code of conduct? It is His day planner, His appointment schedule, His way of judging mankind, His way of interacting with people. The ways of God, the creator of the Universe, are truly made known to us, His children through His Word. You might ask, where in the world would I go in this book to find that? Because who wouldn’t want to know how to act like God. He is so wonderful to us, what believer wouldn’t want to know how to follow in His steps? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the world treated each other like God has treated us? Or even if just our families could walk in the steps of the creator of the universe, what peace and love there would be. Mankind has their own ideas about what is right and wrong:

Jer 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Pr 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Pr 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

But God, on the other hand:

Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Well, I would like to know how to avoid ending with death, and learn a little about those ways that are so lofty, wouldn’t you? God would like that for us as well. So, He told us His ways. He took the time to teach us all about His ways. He wrote it all down. HE sent His only begotten Son to show us how to live right, and then gave His life to pay the penalty of death for all the times we refused or failed to walk in those ways. God is determined to save us, He just keeps trying, but will we let Him save us? It takes humility and a heart to seek Him. So, take a look with me at some scriptures that teach us what HIS WAYS are.

The Apostle Paul, when writing about God’s ways, had this to say:

Ro 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Job, while pondering the greatness of God, said this:

Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

The Psalmist pondered the ways of God:

Ps 128:1 <> Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

Ps 145:17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Pr 19:16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.

The prophet Habakkuk said:

Hab 3:6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

Moses wrote a lot about God’s ways:

De 8:6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

De 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

De 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

De 19:9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

De 26:17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

De 28:9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

De 30:16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

De 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Various other writers of the Word had things to say about HIS WAYS:

Jos 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

1Ki 3:14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

1Ki 11:33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.

1Ki 11:38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

Ps 81:13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

Isa 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

Eze 18:29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

Mal 2:6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

Did you know He promised He would teach us HIS WAYS when Messiah came:

Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
13 The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
15 I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD'S servant?
20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; HE WILL MAGNIFY THE LAW, AND MAKE IT HONORABLE.
22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

What law do you suppose, in light of all the other scriptures we have just read, that the isles would wait for to come from the Messiah? What law do you think He would magnify and make honorable? A new one, or the one that was HIS WAYS that we already had. If He told us He wants us to be like Him, and walk in His ways, then told us what those ways were, and He is an unchangeable God, how in the world would that law, the way, change after Jesus, who would send out the law and magnify it, be abolished and re written? What part of magnify don’t we get here? Let’s stop and beat this dead horse some more with a word definition:

a primitive root; properly, to twist (compare 1434), i.e. to be (causatively make) large (in various senses, as in body, mind, estate or honor, also in pride):--advance, boast, bring up, exceed, excellent, be(-come, do, give, make, wax), great(-er, come to...estate, + things), grow(up),increase, lift up, magnify(-ifical), be much set by, nourish (up), pass, promote, proudly (spoken), tower.

So, when the Word of God tells us that the Messiah would take the law, and make it grow, lift up, increase, nourish, promote, proudly speak, tower, give, wax, exceed, advance, boast, bring up THE LAW, then that really means He would abolish it and re write it with the same things but minus parts that are too Jewish for us Gentile believers. Does anybody see a problem with this theology???!!

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

So, I suppose this law He would write in our hearts was the famed “New Law”. If your doctrine ain’t in the bible, and it contradicts the bible, it’s time to chunk it. I went ahead and pasted a few verses past what everybody likes to quote here in Jeremiah 31. Just to show that people who like to teach that the Lord cast off the Jews and took the nation from them and there is no Israel anymore, please read this again:

35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

Mt 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

What law did Jesus keep? What did He tell us to do? What do the Apostles tell us to do? Follow Jesus, and keep His commandments. It’s really that easy. He is the door. He is the way. Take up your cross and follow Him, all the way, in every thing He did, as best you can. Jesus was walking on HIS WAY, not the highway.

Is Yeshua Yahweh?

EDDIE CHUMNEY

Is Yeshua Yahweh?

You know some people have been going to church for fifty years and they’re not aware that the bible is about exile and redemption. All of a sudden Yah opens up your eyes and you realize it’s there from Adam and Eve in the garden through the entire bible. You just never saw it. So for somebody that wants to know is Yeshua Yahweh or not and where is that in the bible? My answer is – my goodness! It is EVERYWHERE! It’s everywhere in the Torah. It’s everywhere in the New Testament. You have to have a lot of help to not see it!

Let me give you just a few scriptures and I hope someday that I will be able to do a complete series on this and try to do this as thoroughly as possible. This is not an effort to do a thorough teaching on it. This is just what comes to my mind at the moment.
First of all, if you are a believer in Yeshua in His words which I happen to be, Yeshua said in Luke chapter 24 and verse 44:

44 …These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Torah of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.

Yeshua Himself said that all of Tanakh is about Him. You know most Baptists can only tell you about Isaiah 53, maybe Psalm 22 and a couple of other ones where they see Yeshua. But besides that they don’t really see Yeshua in the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms. Even though Yeshua said it’s all written about Him. Paul in Acts chapter 28 and verse 23 says:

23 And when they had appointed him (Paul) a day, there came many to him (Paul) into his lodging, to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Yeshua, both out of the Law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

Paul saw Yeshua in the Torah and the prophets. He saw Him so much in the Torah and the prophets that he spent the whole day showing Yeshua in the Torah and the prophets. It says:

23 …..persuading them…..from morning till evening.

We have in the New Testament in Paul’s letters some examples where he showed Yeshua. If Yeshua is in the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms and Paul also says Yeshua is in the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms – if you look up the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms – it speaks about Yahweh Eloheim. So given that Yeshua Himself said that the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms speak about Him, given that Paul from morning till evening talked about how the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms spoke of Him – let’s see – for those of you who are on Pal Talk and are listening in to what we do at congregation here every week – I know every week we don’t have a Sabbath service but when we do we make it a point to repeat who Yeshua is.

And to me, I think or I have in my mind, you know this is so basic, so elementary; we’re boring people by doing this. But you know what? I see that we can’t ever bore people because some people just don’t get it. You know we share on every Sabbath service how Yeshua created the heavens and the earth. We share how Yeshua gave the Torah at Mount Sinai. That every knee will bow. Yeshua is the one that led the children of Israel out of Egypt. Who is the one that the Hebrew Scriptures say did all this? Yahweh Eloheim! This is not complicated. Regarding Yeshua, now remember Yeshua said in the Torah, the prophets and the Psalms that they speak about Him. Remember that Paul said from morning to evening. So what is regarded as probably the most read book in the New Testament by Christians is the book of John. Well, if we would read the book of John and let’s say we got excited about reading the book of John and we made it all the way to verse 3 – you know what we would learn?

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.

That’s speaking about Yeshua and it’s saying He was in the beginning.

3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

All things were made by Him. Yeshua created the heavens and the earth. Let’s say we read through real fast and we skipped by that and we were still diligent in reading our bibles. Perhaps maybe we decided to read the book of Colossians. In Colossians chapter 1 and verses 15 and 16 it says:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature;
16 For by Him

That is Yeshua – that is the one that is the image of the invisible God.

16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him.

Now, if we’re told that all things were created by Him and for Him and by the way, who is writing this in Colossians? Paul! Paul is the one that said - he persuaded from morning till evening the Hebrew scriptures regarding Yeshua and the kingdom. Well, if we read the Hebrew scriptures who does it say created the heavens and the earth? Yahweh Eloheim! Put two and two together. Who is Yeshua? Yeshua is Yahweh Eloheim.

So for example in John chapter 8 and verse 58:

58 Yeshua said unto them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am.

Now for Yeshua to say – before Abraham was I Am – I Am – He’s saying He’s Yahweh. Yes, that’s pretty much quoting Exodus chapter 3. Now in John chapter 10 and verse 30 it says:

30 I and My Father are one.

He’s equating Himself equal or on the same level as His Father. Actually, in understanding the Father in Yeshua and describing their authority structure within the ecod Godhead – the Father has the greater authority. But nevertheless, they are ecod - even though the Father has the greater authority. It says in John 10 and verse 31:

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.

So the fact that they took up stones to stone Him – they heard that He said that He was Yahweh because according to the Torah, blasphemy - which is claiming to be Yahweh if you’re not – is punishable by stoning. So the fact that they took up stones to stone Him means that they heard and they understood clearly that He was saying that He was Yahweh.

You know this is from the book of John. It’s the book that is supposed to be most read by Christians. So if Christians actually do read the book of John and have been encouraged to read the book of John and have acknowledged that the book of John is most read by Christians – why do Hebrew Roots Christians have a problem understanding whether Yeshua is Yahweh or not. Like, haven’t you ever read the book of John? Or maybe you have but you don’t understand what you’re reading.

So Yeshua answered them in John 10 and verse 32:

32 Yeshua answered them, “Many good works have I shewed you from My Father; for which of those works do ye stone Me?
33 The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we stone thee not; but for the blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

They said it explicitly that He being a man made Himself God, Yahweh. So here’s Yeshua’s argument to what they are saying:

34 Yeshua answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, I SAID, YE ARE GODS?

Well, the quote is not from Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers or Deuteronomy. The quote is from Psalm 82 verse 6. So notice that the Psalm is called the Law! Because the Torah means the teaching or the instruction of Yahweh – it’s not just Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. The book of John is Torah. Psalms is Torah. So He says –

34 …..”Is it not written in your (Psalm 82;6), I SAID, YE ARE GODS?
35 If He called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of Him, whom the Father hath sanctified, (that’s Himself) and sent into the world, Thou blasphemes; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Here is His argument. If you go back to Psalm 82 in verse 6; it’s speaking about the children of Israel and it says:

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

So the word gods there is the Hebrew word Eloheim. So in this verse the children of the most high God that is the nation of Israel – the entire nation of Israel in this verse are called Eloheim. Now Eloheim in Hebrew can mean the God of Israel – the Supreme God of the World. But it doesn’t mean the Supreme God of the World in all instances on all occasions. Judges and rulers of the people are called Eloheim. So here the nation of Israel – all the people are called Eloheim. So Yeshua says – wait a second. If the psalms say that you are Eloheim and the word of God is true, then why is it blasphemy that I say that I am Eloheim? That’s what His answer was to them. If the scripture says that you are Eloheim then why are you upset that I am Eloheim? Of course, the people being Eloheim didn’t mean that they were God. It means that they were leaders and God regarded them as having authority within His covenant nation.

Now in John chapter 5; we also are going to have an account once again. In John chapter 5 this is an account where Yeshua heals on the Sabbath day. So it says in John 5:5:

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Yeshua saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he said to him, “Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool; but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Yeshua said to him, “Rise, take up thy bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked; and on the same day was the Sabbath.

Go to verse 14:

14 Afterward Yeshua findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, “Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more,”

Now, there’s another occasion that I can’t remember off the top of my head – someone may be able to find it if they look it up on the computer – where Yeshua said – your sins be forgiven you. So here in John 5:15:
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Yeshua, which had made him whole.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Yeshua, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the Sabbath day.
17 But Yeshua answered them, “My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Him, because He not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was His Father, making Himself equal to God.

By the way, they accused Him of breaking the Sabbath but He didn’t break the Sabbath.

18 ….but said also that God was His Father, making Himself equal to God.

He said that God was His Father making Himself equal with God. So the Jews viewed this as blasphemy because they definitely were hearing that He was saying that He was Yahweh. Yeshua in John chapter 5 says in verse 45:

45 “Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.”
46 “For had you believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.”
47 “But if you do not believe his writings, how shall ye believe My words?”

So Yeshua Himself said that Moses or the Torah spoke or wrote of Him. Now, in John chapter 8 Yeshua is having a conversation once again with the Pharisees. He says in John 8:18:

18 “I am one that bear witness of Myself, and the Father that sent Me beareth witness of me.”
19 Then they said unto Him, Where is Thy Father? Yeshua answered, “Ye neither know Me, nor My Father: if ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also.”
20 These words spoke Yeshua in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on Him; for His hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Yeshua again unto them, “I go My way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

Yeshua is saying to these Pharisees who believe in Moses – who say they believe in the God of Israel and they are following Torah – He is saying to them that you are going to die in your sins because while they say they know the Father – Yeshua is saying – you don’t know the Father because I know the Father and He sent Me and I do what He tells Me to do and if you don’t receive Me, you don’t receive the Father either. And you don’t know the Father. So in John 8:22:

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill Himself? Because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
23 And he said unto them, “Ye are from beneath; I am from above; ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

Now catch this in John chapter 8 and verse 24:

24 “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins, for if ye believe not that I am He,

The King James says I am He but He is in italics – it’s not there.

24 … for if ye believe not that I Am, you will die in your sins.

That’s a pretty strong statement. What He is saying is that unless you believe that I Am Yahweh. Unless you believe that I am Yahweh, you will die in your sins. Well, you know what? If that’s the case for Jews, wouldn’t it also be the case for non-Jews? We have all these Hebrew Roots people who are questioning whether Yeshua is Yahweh and Yeshua Himself says that if you don’t believe that I Am Yahweh, you will die in your sins. Scripture says – Yahweh is my salvation. If you don’t believe the Messiah is Yahweh – where’s your salvation. I mean I have a difficult time walking around John 8:24 where Yeshua said:

24 …for if ye believe not that I Am, you will die in your sins.

I have a difficult time jumping around that. He said in John chapter 14 and verse 6:

6 Yeshua saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

So Yeshua is directly dealing with this issue of whether He is Yahweh or not with the Pharisees in the book of John. How is it that if the book of John is regarded as the most read book by Christians; that Hebrew Roots Christians are having a difficult time (some are) believing that Yeshua is Yahweh? It’s clear that He is Yahweh! So not only did Yeshua create the heavens and the earth but Paul who we read earlier in Acts chapter 28 verse 23, said that the Hebrew scriptures speak of Yeshua. Paul says in Galatians in chapter 3 and verse 16 –

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, AND TO THY SEED, which is Messiah.

If you are Messiah’s then you are Abraham’s seed and an heir according to promise. Paul is quoting Genesis 17 verse 7. In Genesis 17 verse 7, it is Yahweh Eloheim who is making a covenant with Abraham. Paul says that the one that is making the covenant with Abraham is Yeshua the Messiah. Therefore He is Yahweh Eloheim.

If we go to Isaiah chapter 45 verses 22 and 23 it says the following – and this quote is a part of a traditional Sabbath service. It says:

22 Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am Yahweh Eloheim and there is none else.
23 I have sworn by Myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

This is what Paul is quoting or referring to in Philippians chapter 2 and verses 9-11 where it says:

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Yeshua every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess

See where he says that every knee should bow? He’s quoting back there in Isaiah 45 verses 22 and 23. But back in Isaiah 45:22 and 23, it’s Yahweh Eloheim that’s speaking. So Paul is connecting that to Yeshua that every tongue would confess that Yeshua Ha Mashiach is Lord. Take that straight back to the Hebrew. Lord is Yahweh. Every tongue will confess that He is Yahweh to the glory of God the Father.

Now, if we go to Acts chapter 1 verses 9-12 it says:

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

The setting is – he’s asked the question here in Acts chapter 1 and Acts 1:6, are you the God who will restore the kingdom to Israel? This is after He has been forty days speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Acts chapter 1 verse 8 He gives His answer:

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 which also said, “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Yeshua, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet,

So where did Yeshua ascend to go to be with the Father after His first coming? It was from the Mount of Olives. And when He left what did the angels say? He will come back in like manner. Which means when He comes back where does He have to come back to? The Mount of Olives! Where is the prophecy that He’s going to when He returns? Zechariah 14 and verse 4 is the prophecy that says this:

4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives,

But whose feet are going to stand upon the Mount of Olives? If you go back to verse 3 it says in the Hebrew:

3 Then shall Yahweh go forth and fight against the nations as when He fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives,

Whose feet? Yahweh’s feet. The feet of Yahweh will stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives. And verse 9:

9 And Yahweh shall be king over all the earth;

Who has to be king over all the earth? Yeshua! He’s coming and He’s setting up His kingdom. Yahweh will be king over all the earth. And it says in verse 16:

16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of Hosts.

Every year they will go up to Jerusalem to worship the king Yahweh of Hosts and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. Well, who’s going to be in Jerusalem? Yeshua, because He’s coming back and He’s going to set His feet down on the Mount of Olives. He’s rebuilding the temple and He will be ruling and reigning from the earth from Jerusalem from the temple that is in Jerusalem.
So Yeshua created the heavens and the earth. Yeshua made a covenant with Abraham. Paul tells us in I Corinthians 10 verses 1 to 4 that Yeshua is the one that was with and brought the children of Israel out of Egypt. It says:

1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Messiah.

So the rock that followed the children of Israel in the wilderness – that wasn’t Yahweh? It was Yahweh. It was Yahweh. Now, the one who is going to set His feet down on the Mount of Olives in Zechariah chapter 14 and verse 4 is Yahweh. In verse 3 where it says:

3 Then shall Yahweh go forth, and fight against those nations, as when Yahweh fought in the day of battle.

What is the day of battle that it’s referring to? Rabbinical commentary says that it is when Pharaoh and his army drowned in the Red Sea. So the one who defeated Pharaoh and his army at the Red Sea is the same one whose feet are going to stand upon the Mount of Olives. Who does it say that defeated Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea? Exodus chapter 15 and verse 6:

6 Thy right hand, O Yahweh, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Yahweh, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

It was Yahweh the right hand that defeated Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea. Who was it that brought the children of Israel into the Promised Land? Psalm chapter 44 verses 2 and 3 says:

2 How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and planted them; how thou didst afflict the people and cast them out.
3 For they (that is the children of Israel) got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but Thy right hand, and Thine arm, and the light of Thy countenance, because Thou hadst a favour unto them.

So it was the right hand and the right arm that got the victory in the Promised Land. Who is the right hand and the right arm? It’s Yeshua Yahweh.

Now, that which Yeshua Yahweh did in defeating the enemies in the Promised Land is a prophetic foreshadowing of what Yeshua Yahweh will do in the end of days fighting for Zion and bringing the exiles of Israel back to the Promised Land. It says in the book of Joel. Joel chapter 3 and verse 16:

16 Yahweh will roar out of Zion,

Yahweh will roar out of Zion? Well, who roars? A lion! Yahweh roars as a lion. Yeshua is the lion of the tribe of Judah.

Now in Isaiah chapter 8 and verse 14 it says – and even Roshi a Jewish Orthodox commentary says this speaks about the Messiah:

14 ……He will be a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel,

Who is the stone of stumbling and the rock of offense? This is quoted three times in the New Testament. It’s quoted in Romans 9:33. It is quoted in I Peter chapter 2 and verse 8 and also in Luke chapter 2 and verse 34. Now it also makes a reference to it. He will be a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel. And speaking about the one who is a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel Isaiah 8 says:

17 I will wait upon Yahweh who hides His face from the house of Jacob and I will look for Him.

The one they are looking for is the one that is the stone of stumbling and the rock of offense to both houses of Israel. The one they are looking for is the one that’s hiding His face. The one they are looking for or waiting upon is the Messiah – the one that’s the stone of stumbling and the rock of offense. The one that is the stone of stumbling and the rock of offense that is hiding His face and the one they are looking for is Yahweh.

17 I will wait uponYahweh…..

Notice it’s Yahweh that is hiding His face. In Isaiah chapter 54 and verse 8 it says:

8 In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Yahweh thy Redeemer.

Notice it is Yahweh your Redeemer that’s hiding His face. The one that’s hiding His face is the one that we are looking for. The one that is hiding His face is the stone of stumbling and the rock of offense. Yeshua is Yahweh!

Now in James in chapter 4 and verse 12 it says:

12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

So the one who saves is the lawgiver. That’s why Yeshua said in John chapter 14 verse 15:

15 If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

He was quoting or making a reference to Exodus chapter 20 verse 6 which is the chapter on the Ten Commandments where it says:

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.

The one that says love Me and keep My commandments is the lawgiver and the one that is the lawgiver that says love Me and keep My commandments is in Exodus 20 verse 2 – Yahweh Eloheim which brought the children of Israel out of Egypt who was the spiritual rock that was with them in the wilderness.

Who is the Shekinah, the glory of Yahweh that appeared to Moses whose presence was with the children of Israel when they set up the tabernacle and who led them in their journeys? In the volume of the book, it is written of Him. The volume of the book it is written of Yeshua. So because it’s EVERYWHERE, this is only but a small example that Yeshua is Yahweh and some of the reference to it. I just flipped to John 10 and verse 11 where Yeshua says:

11 I am the good shepherd….

Verse 14 He says:

14 I am to good shepherd

And He says that He is going to gather the sheepfold. The good shepherd is going to gather the sheepfold. Well, when He says He is the good shepherd He’s making a reference to different verses about the good shepherd. One of which is Psalm 23 which says:

1 Yahweh is my Shepherd

He said He’s the good shepherd and Psalm 23 which most Christians should know says Yahweh is my good Shepherd. Yeshua is the Shepherd. Yeshua is Yahweh. So Psalm 23:2 says:

2 He (the good Shepherd) maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.

Do you know what that means? That means the good Shepherd teaches the sheepfold Torah. He leads them by still waters.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

Do you know what the valley of the shadow of death is? Exile!

4 ….I will fear no evil; for thou art with me

Thou art with me in exile! Because He said that in exile He would be a little sanctuary to His people. That’s why Yeshua said when two or three are gathered there am I in the midst of them.

So he’s also making a reference – the good Shepherd to Psalm chapter 80 where it says:

1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock;

And then in Jeremiah chapter 23 and verse 1 it says:

1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! Saith Yahweh.

Then He goes on to say in verse 5:

5 Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and He will execute judgment and justice in the earth.

That’s speaking about the Messiah. It says in verse 6:

6 In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely:

So in His days there will be the regathering of the exiles of Israel. Israel and Judah, they will dwell safely, meaning they will be redeemed from their enemies.

6 ….this is the name whereby He, the Messiah will be called, the Messiah will be called Yahweh our righteousness.

He’s going to be called Yahweh our righteousness. Yeshua is Yahweh. When Yeshua said He is the good Shepherd in Ezekiel chapter 34; the one that has to gather the sheep is Yahweh Eloheim. Ezekiel 34:11:

11 For thus saith Yahweh Eloheim; Behold I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out My sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

That’s a reference to the Great Tribulation. So who’s the one who’s going to gather the sheep from the nations? Yahweh Eloheim! So when Yeshua says I am the Good Shepherd, He’s saying that He is Yahweh Eloheim.

In Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 it says:

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega (or the Aleph and Tav), the beginning and the ending, saith Yahweh which is, and which was, and which is to come,

That is the definition of Yahweh - to be eternally existent.

8 ….the Almighty.

Which is El Shaddai! So Yeshua which is, which was and which is to come and Yeshua the one that every eye will see is the Almighty, El Shaddai!

Well, who is the one that appeared to Abraham? In Genesis chapter 17 verse 1:

1 And when Abraham was ninety years old and nine, Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am El Shaddai.

Yeshua is El Shaddai and El Shaddai appeared to Abraham. That’s why Yeshua said in John chapter 8 verse 56:

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Abraham rejoiced to see My day. That’s because Yeshua appeared to Abraham and Yeshua also showed Abraham that He is the Redeemer. He’s the Messiah. He’s going to die on the tree.

So as I made a statement to Brad when he said – where is this? Where is this? I said it’s EVERYWHERE! I was speaking about the two house teaching because the whole bible is about exile and redemption. The whole bible is about Yeshua as well. I’ve just given you just the surface of the cross reference in various scriptures and it’s clear that Yeshua is Yahweh.

Now before I allow someone in the congregation here to make a comment I want to add one more thing because when I speak and travel around the country, I do have people come up and they say – well, if Yeshua is Yahweh, then how can Yeshua be on the earth and how can He speak to His Father? What they do is then they take it and they take their logical mind and try to understand the King of the Universe with their logical Greek mind. Well, we’re told that the Word became flesh. Yahweh’s word which is spirit became flesh. Here is what we’re told in John chapter 1 – and actually what I’m going to read to you in John chapter 1 and verse 18 and really to understand what this verse means you have to go into an orthodox Jewish kabalistic teaching on who Yahweh is to understand what John is saying because he’s making a kabalistic statement. When he says about Yeshua in John chapter 1 verse 18:

18 No man hath seen God at any time;

Meaning no one has seen the Father at any time.

18 ….the only begotten Son,

and now here’s the kabalistic statement

18 ….which is in the bosom of the Father…

If you read an orthodox Jewish explanation of how Yahweh created the universe it will give you an explanation of how Yahweh within Himself, within His bosom, within Himself, ultimately ended up creating the heavens and the earth - from within Himself. The concept is called zum-zum. And so this is also declaring that Yeshua is Yahweh.

Now if we go to I Timothy 6 and verse 16 it says about the Father:

16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto,

The Father is so holy that He dwells in a light because Yahweh is light and in Him there is no darkness. He’s dwelling in a light that no man can approach which no man has seen nor can any man see. So it’s the Son who is the image of the invisible Eloheim who dwells in a light that no man can approach unto and who is – as Yeshua said – of the Father and came forth of the Father, declares the Father so that if you’ve seen Yeshua you have seen the Father. Yeshua came to reveal the Father.

Now, this is one of the best explanations in the natural that I can give and it seems that when I share it people can usually relate to it. You see, did not Yahweh make man in His image. That means we are made in the image or the likeness of Yahweh in our makeup. How is man made? Every human being is ecod. He’s a complex structure of body, soul and spirit but has different components that make the total being you - body, soul and spirit. So for example, it is I that is talking. Nobody else in the universe is talking. What you are hearing is expressly the thoughts of a single individual that’s in a human body. So the words that you are hearing are my words. My words are 100% me. My word is 100% me but not 100% of me is my word. So Yeshua is 100% Yahweh – He’s the word of Yahweh. But not 100% of Yahweh is His word. There’s also the power of Yahweh. The power of Yahweh we call the Ruach HaQodesh. So the power of Yahweh is 100% Yahweh but not 100% of Yahweh is His power. But the Father – nothing happens unless the Father wills it because in describing the structure, the authority structure. You see for example, the bible tells us that when Adam and Eve married in Genesis chapter 2 it says the following:

24 Therefore man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh (Hebrew word ecod).

Ecod flesh or one flesh. So even though you have a multiplicity – two individuals – a husband and a wife - together Yahweh sees a husband and a wife as ecod.
Now, if I’m going to describe Yahweh’s divine order within this oneness – if I’m going to describe an order of authority, even though they are one. Paul tells us that the man is supposed to lay down his life for the woman. That means he is supposed to completely serve her.

So when you lay down your life for someone in essence spiritually when you lay down your life for someone you are showing your authority over them. But in order to lay down your life for someone you have to humble yourself. In humbling yourself you are in a way saying that they are higher than you or that they are more important than you. You are saying they are more important than you because they are so much more important than you that you will lay down your life. So in that regard you’re saying they have a greater authority but at the same time though - if you’re going to lay down your life for someone you actually show your authority over somebody. When Yeshua laid down His life He was Lord of all.

The greatest in the kingdom is the servant of all but nevertheless in that structure that Yahweh gave if it is operating divinely – if I’m going to describe a relationship within the marriage of a husband and a wife – a husband has a greater authority over his wife. Things are supposed to come from the husband. You know that operates well if the husband is doing what he is supposed to be doing which is laying down his life for his wife. Then it operates well. The problem is if the man is out of order. Then it’s hard if the man is out of order for a woman to submit. Nevertheless, the point I’m trying to make is that husband and wife are called ecod. Yeshua is ecod with the Father. In the husband and wife relationship even though they are truly, truly, truly ecod there’s still an authority structure within it. The husband is regarded as having the higher authority structure.

So even though Yeshua is Yahweh and the Father is Yahweh, if I’m going to describe their relationship in being one - the Father has the higher authority. That’s why Yeshua said – I only do what my Father tells Me to do or directs Me to do. But I am completely obedient to the Father such that I don’t do anything unless the Father directs Me to do it.

So therefore, in describing the structure - the Father is the will. Nothing happens unless He first wills it. But He doesn’t execute the will. He sends His Word to execute the will. The Word only does what the will instructs. He cannot deviate from the will. So because He doesn’t deviate from the will that’s why if you’ve seen the Word, you’ve seen the will even though the will has a greater authority. Nevertheless they are ecod with each other. But even though the will sends the Word; still what is willed does not get accomplished even though the Word is sent without the power that completes the task. That’s why in the redemption of Israel Yeshua laid down His life but He said – I need to send you the Holy Spirit. You will receive power and you will be My witness. The power comes from the Holy Spirit.

So the Messiah is going to testify of the ingathering of the exiles. The Spirit is going to testify of the ingathering of the exiles and truly they are one because the Spirit is always going to testify of Yeshua. So therefore, in the authority structure it gets willed by the Father. Of course the Father is Yahweh. Yeshua is the Word of Yahweh. So the Word of Yahweh is 100% Yahweh but not 100% of Yahweh is His Word. The Holy Spirit is the power of Yahweh. The power of Yahweh is 100% Yahweh but not 100% Yahweh is His power. Together they are ecod.

Ecod can mean a compound unity. Where it can get confusing if you’re not knowledgeable of Hebrew is the Hebrew word “ecod” can be regarded as a singular one in the sense of when you are counting. When you are counting you say one. Ecod is the number one. But there is another Hebrew word that means exclusively one. That is “yaheed” (sp?). If I’m counting I say one – I say ecod but exclusively one is yaheed. So husband and wife are ecod and the nation of Israel is ecod. So ecod also means a compound unity. Ecod is a compound unity.

In the Shema in Deuteronomy chapter 6 and verse 4 it says:

4 Hear O Israel, Yahweh our Eloheim, Yahweh Eloheinu, Yahweh ecod….

See the Shema says Yahweh is ecod. Ecod means a compound unity.
You know I’ve made this statement before and that is – there are several places in the New Testament where the phrase appears – I would not have you be ignorant. And those several places where it says – do not be ignorant. That’s where we’re ignorant! You know the God of Israel - in order for us not to get puffed up in our pride and even in believing in the God of Israel He has caused us to state things over and over and over and over and over religiously. And even though we’ve stated it over and over religiously we still don’t get it.

I’ll give you an example. Who within “Christianity” most often says what is called “The Lord’s Prayer?” The Catholics! They most often say The Lord’s Prayer. You would think if they say The Lord’s Prayer so often that they should understand The Lord’s Prayer. But here’s what The Lord’s Prayer is. Matthew chapter 6 verse 9:

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Then pray this – pray that your kingdom comes and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The Lord’s Prayer is prayed that the kingdom comes. How many Catholics or how many Protestants are looking forward to the kingdom – to the Messianic kingdom? No, they are looking forward to dying and going to heaven. They are looking forward to being raptured. But The Lord’s Prayer is – let your kingdom come and when the kingdom comes your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. What is His will? Psalm chapter 40 verses 7 and 8 is that the Torah be written on your heart. So The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer that the Torah will be followed in the earth and to look forward to the Messianic kingdom when the Torah will fall on the earth. You know, Catholic theology is the exact opposite of that. They’re not looking for the kingdom to come and they’re not looking for the Torah to be proclaimed. Yet they say with their mouth quite frequently – The Lord’s Prayer. They don’t even understand the words that they are saying.

The same way the Jewish people say the Shema. They don’t understand even though they are saying it; that Yeshua is Yahweh and they are proclaiming that Yahweh is ecod, which means a compound unity.

Matthew chapter 15:1 – this is what Yeshua in His conversation with the Pharisees says:

1 Then came to Yeshua scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders?

What they are asking is why don’t they follow all of oral law?

2 ….for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Which is required by oral law.

3 But He answered and said unto them, “Why do ye also transgress the written commandment of God by your tradition?

And He gives an example. Then He says in verse 7 – now He’s speaking to a people that’s not proclaiming to follow Yeshua and His teachings. So He’s addressing Pharisees who are not advocating that they want to follow Yeshua. Here’s what Yeshua says quoting Isaiah.

Matthew 15:7:

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoreth Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me.
9 But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Yeshua is quoting Isaiah and He is saying that the people draw neigh unto Him. He’s speaking about Himself. He’s saying that the people who don’t believe that He is the Messiah and are not in their hearts confessing that He is the Messiah – He says nevertheless that they draw neigh unto Him Yeshua with their mouth and they honor Yeshua with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. So how are they honoring Yeshua with their lips and in their hearts with their lips they don’t believe in Him. How are they nevertheless honoring Him with their lips and their heart being far from Him? Because when they go and they pray their prayers who they regard as unto Yahweh – those prayers that they are praying speaking about Yahweh in the synagogues are actually prayers that relate and are about Yeshua. So the meaning of the scriptures that they quote are scriptures about Yeshua. So they are honoring Yeshua with their mouth because they are quoting the scripture that speaks of Him. So they are honoring Him with their mouths yet their hearts are far from Him. So Yeshua or Yahweh in a sense of humor has both the Jews and the Christians praying prayers and they are fervent about their prayers and they don’t understand what they are praying.

In Isaiah chapter 6 it says in verse 1:

1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also Yahweh sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, is Yahweh Tsaviot; the whole earth is full of His glory.

Now in the book of John chapter 12:37; it says the following:

37 But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him;
38 That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, “Yahweh, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of Yahweh been revealed?
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
40 He hath blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted and I should heal them.

Now catch verse 41:

41 These things said Isaiah when he saw His glory

It’s referring to Isaiah chapter 6.

41 These things said Isaiah when he saw His glory

He saw His glory in Isaiah chapter 6 when His train filled the temple. It was said Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, Yahweh Tsaviot the whole earth is filled with His glory.

Now in the revelation of Yeshua which is the subject of the book of Revelation, it says in Revelation chapter 4:2:

2 And immediately I was in the spirit; and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Go to verse 8:

8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within; and they rest not day and night, saying, “Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, Yahweh Eloheim El Shadi, which was, and is and is to come.

Well, that is what Isaiah says and John said in John chapter 12. That’s what Isaiah said when they saw Yeshua in His glory. So this is exactly what Revelation says, Yahweh, Yahweh, Yahweh, the whole earth is full of His glory, speaking about Yeshua.

So once again we’ve just hit the surface. I’m sure you’ve seen a poster that says about Yeshua – He’s the Lamb of God, He’s the Redeemer, He’s the Savior, He’s the Judge, He’s the Good Shepherd and the list goes on and on and on but who is all of those things? Yahweh Eloheim! Yahweh Eloheim! So pretty much the fact that Yeshua is Yahweh is EVERYWHERE! Everywhere in the scriptures! Yeshua Himself, the Hebrew scriptures spoke of Him, Paul said the Hebrew scriptures spoke of Him and just a little bit of cross referencing scripture, comparing scripture to scripture, we can see very easily, very clearly everywhere that Yeshua is Yahweh.

So for somebody in Hebrew Roots questioning whether Yeshua is Yahweh, I just have to come to the conclusion that they simply do not know their bible and they are easily tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine because they have no root. Who ultimately is our root? Yeshua! They don’t know Him. They don’t know who He is.

Theresa has a thought:

Okay, What Eddie has been addressing for the past hour or so – hour and twelve minutes I’m told, he was addressing because we’ve been getting a lot of questions on this. We’ve been getting it in chat rooms on computers. Some of us have been receiving e-mails and so he’s addressing it. But there were two points – he hit every point except for two that were in these e-mails. So I just want to quickly address those two points.

Number one, with regard to what is said in Revelation about Him being the Aleph and the Tav; of Him being spoken of as Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, of Him being the one who is said that He is the one who is, who was and who is to come just as it says in Exodus using that same word – that this is not Yeshua speaking but this is Yahweh. Obviously they don’t read in context because it says in verse 1 of Revelation chapter 1 –

1 The revelation of Yeshua Ha Mashiach which Eloheim gave to Him (Yeshua) to give.

So this is Yeshua giving it. I can confirm that by going further down in the text when it says in verse 17:

17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me. – Fear not; I am the first and the last. I was dead.

They say – well, this has to be Yahweh because Yahweh doesn’t die and He’s the only one that can claim this. Well, Yeshua did die and He says

17 ….I am alive. I was dead. Behold, I am alive forevermore. I have the keys of hell and of death.

This is clearly when you look at the total context of the letter of Revelation of Yeshua. Yeshua is speaking. So that’s point one.

Point two that I wanted to address is – this is the one that came again and again and again – Yeshua is the Messiah but He is not Yahweh is the comment. Well, I can believe what some other website tells me. I can believe what Eddie tells me. I can believe what Mark tells me or I can go to the scriptures. I’m not going to believe what Eddie or Mark or some other website tells me unless and only unless it lines up with the scripture. So let’s go to the scripture. Exodus 14:30 says; Yahweh saves. Numbers 10:9; Yahweh saves. Isaiah 25:9; Eloheim – in His salvation we will be glad. In the salvation of Eloheim. Isaiah 35:4 – Eloheim saves. Isaiah 43:12 – I (and if you look at context Yahweh is speaking), I save Yahweh says. Isaiah 45:21 – Yahweh says there is no other God but me. I am the righteous God and the only Savior. And the word there for savior is the same root word on all these scriptures I’m giving you. But there is the form of Mashiach. He says I am the only Mashiach. Therefore if Yeshua is the Mashiach He must be Yahweh because there is no other Mashiach other than Yahweh. Isaiah 45:22 – Yahweh says turn to me Yahweh and be saved. Isaiah 59:16 – there is no man who intercedes (so if Yeshua is only a man then there is no man who intercedes Yahweh says). But it’s His (Yahweh’s) own right arm that brings salvation. So if Yeshua is only 100% man, He cannot intercede. The scriptures teach us that no man can die for his own sins let alone the sins of someone else therefore how could he die for the sins of the whole world? No man can do that. If He is only 100% man then He is neither Messiah nor Yahweh nor should we be looking to Him. But He is not and I have to add this because people are going to misquote me – He is not 50% man and 50% Yahweh. He is 100% man and 100% Yahweh. It is because He is Yahweh that He can be that.

In Jeremiah 17:14 – The prophet cries out heal me Yahweh and save me Yahweh. Only Yahweh, the prophet knew could save him. Ezekiel 34:22 – I will save (some versions say deliver). It is the same word in the Hebrew. I am the judge of the sheep. Well, according to John – who is the judge of the sheep? It is Yeshua. Ezekiel 36:29 – Yahweh says I will save. Ezekiel 37:23 – I will deliver. I will be their God. This one is very interesting. Hosea 1:7 – Yahweh is speaking. He says I will deliver. I will deliver by or in the form of Yahweh Eloheim. So there’s another form of Me coming who is Yahweh Elohay that I will deliver through. Hosea 13:4 – there is no savior (again the word there is Mashiach) beside Me. So if Yahweh is the only Mashiach, either Yeshua is not Mashiach or Yeshua is Yahweh. I’ll give the other ones for the sake of time. Zephaniah 3:19, Zechariah 9:9, Zechariah 9:6, Psalm 27:1, Psalm 37:40, Psalm 80 versus 3, 7 and 19. Psalm 85:7, Psalm 106:8, Psalm 138:7 and Proverbs 22 all say the same things I already put out there.

Also Eddie talked about the passage in I Timothy chapter 6, but he – I feel, I’m just going to point this out – he didn’t start early enough in the passage where it says in verse 14:

14 That thou keep this commandment without spot or reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now some will say that doesn’t say Yahweh in the Hebrew or Greek or whatever. So let’s just read it Lord Jesus Christ for the sake of argument. So keep the commandment until the Lord Jesus Christ appears which He (the subject here is the Lord Jesus Christ) will bring about at the proper time. He (the Lord Jesus Christ) is the blessed, only sovereign, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. According to Torah there is only one who is sovereign, one who is King of Kings, one who is Lord of Lords and that is Yahweh. So He must be that one.

Also it was quoted that those who say this are being proud and haughty. I’m going to dispute this fact because they always pull up the scripture in I Corinthians 12:3 where it says no one can say Yeshua is Yahweh except by the Ruach Eloheim – except by the Spirit of God. That is not a haughty statement. I don’t say that because – Oh, look at me. I’m full of the spirit. Because I’ve often said and it is recorded for all to hear if I have to tell you that I am full of the spirit – I’m not! If I have to tell you I’m anointed for something to do. I’m not! The last person who would be aware of that anointing or that spirit is me. I know that. I know it that I know it that I know it. It’s not a proud thing that we say that. We say that because it’s only by Him. There is not an ounce of my being – not a single cell in my being that can say Yeshua is Yahweh. It is totally and completely reliant on the Ruach Eloheim. There is no way I can say that. So I beg you if you’re not understanding this both from the Torah, the psalms, the prophets, the New Testament that Eddie went through, the passages of things in the revelation that John has given us, that was given by Yeshua. Ask the Ruach to reveal the truth to you. He has promised us. Yahweh has promised us that His Ruach, not the Ruach of Eddie, not the Ruach of Theresa but the Ruach of Yahweh will lead you into all truth. All truth! That’s the only way that you’re going to see this. People have sent us e-mails – people in this congregation I’m sure it’s going on elsewhere too because it’s not just this congregation, it’s happening all over. E-mails are going around – well, read this. Read that. Go here. Go there.

This is my final point. These people are sending us e-mails saying – but so and so said. But this guy’s website says. But this man or woman says. What you just heard here for the past hour and a half is Yahweh says. Not Eddie says. Not Theresa says. We went to the scriptures that are given to us by Yahweh Himself. I didn’t have to use some other website to prove my point. Why? Because I’ve learned it from the scripture and scripture stands. That’s all I have to say.

EDDIE SPEAKS AGAIN:

I want to add one thing that I believe is related to this. That is those who are trying to say they believe that Yeshua is Messiah but they don’t believe He is Yahweh – first of all, I’ve seen too many that have started out that way and the next step that they take is denying that Yeshua is Messiah altogether and denying the inspiration of the New Testament. Also, what I have seen that has been linked with that is people who go down this path – they are also strongly into saying and proclaiming the name Yahweh.

Now, first of all let me say that in Act chapter 3 and verse 21 when I’m talking about the issue of Yahweh as it relates to Yahweh being Yeshua and also using the name of Yahweh that Acts chapter 3 and verse 21 says that there’s going to be a restoration of all things.

A number of years ago, I was reading on a website of a Rabbi Pinhaus Winston. He is an orthodox Jewish rabbi who currently lives in Jerusalem. I saw him quoting from Jewish sources that say – In Messianic times there will be the same of the four letter name – the tetragram name of God – that all the earth will say and use and write the name of Yahweh. That saying Adonai and HaShem is only something that the orthodox are doing while they are in exile but when the exile ends and the Messianic time comes, they – I’m telling you I saw this at his website so you can look up the Jewish source – that they will say and use the name Yahweh. Since I believe we are close to the dawn of Messanic times – that’s why I believe there’s an effort to restore the name and restore the use of the name – restoring Yahweh. I believe that the restoration of the name and the use of the name is biblical. It says in the book of Hosea that He’ll take the names of Baal off of our lips and that means that we’ll begin to say and use Yahweh’s name.

I’m saying this to say that I am for the restoration of all things. I am for the restoration of Yahweh and the name Yahweh but we’re not yet fully in the Messianic times and we have people who are still babes in Messiah, who don’t know the scriptures and who are in the church. When they want to use the name Yahweh, they write in their minds the Father, the Father, the Father and not using and thinking in their minds that Yeshua is also Yahweh. So when they get on the emphasis of Yahweh. Yahweh, Yahweh and thinking about in their minds erroneously, exclusively thinking the Father when they say Yahweh – they begin a process of putting Yeshua aside. They begin the process and they go down a road of denying Yeshua being Yahweh, denying His Messiahship and denying inspiration of the scriptures.

I travel around the country. I’ve seen this way too many times. It’s not just an isolated incident. So because of that I don’t believe presently until Messiah comes – I don’t believe the body at large – even the Hebrew Roots movement as a large – I don’t believe that they are spiritual enough to handle exclusively trying to use Yahweh and to restore the name of Yahweh. It becomes just vain religion if you say it and ultimately don’t know who the one you’re talking about is. If you don’t know that Yeshua is Yahweh what is the use of saying His name if you don’t know the name in which you are proclaiming?

Therefore, it says in I Corinthians in chapter 3; Paul says:

1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual,

Let me translate that into our language. I could not in all circumstances speak unto you and proclaim the restoration of all things including the restoration of Yahweh even though it is biblical, even though it is spiritual. I’m not able to fully do it because I:

1 …. could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Messiah.

Not everyone in Hebrew Roots – they think they’ve arrived. They think they are spiritual now. They meet on the Sabbath. Yet you know what? There is more dissention in Hebrew Roots than what there is in a Baptist church. Paul says in I Corinthians 3:2:

2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat; for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal; for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

You know what Hebrew Roots is all about. We have our favorite people and while it’s nice to respect certain teachers when it’s like – go to this website and go to that website because you know what they are saying about Yeshua, they are saying that He is not Yahweh. Go there, go there! So one says no, I follow that teaching or that website. I follow that website there that says that Yeshua is not Yahweh. At the same time that you are going around and stirring up envying and strife’s and divisions – are you not carnal? So while I believe that there’s a restoration of the name and it’s a part of the restoration of all things and the name will be completely restored in Messianic times – we are not yet fully there. And because people are driven by every wind of doctrine it’s like – once we’ve got you thinking in the mode that we’ve missed it in some areas of Christianity because too many are not rooted or grounded they want to question everything.

I don’t question the significance of the blood of Yeshua. I’m rooted and grounded in that. I don’t question that Yeshua is Yahweh. I am rooted and grounded in it. I see a danger in people who want to exclusively use Yahweh when they don’t know who Yahweh is and they don’t know that Yeshua is Yahweh. It causes them to go down a path of denying Yeshua and denying ultimately His Messiahship and the inspiration of the New Testament.

You know quite frankly, the New Testament is clear. It’s says – if you taste of Him and deny Him, it’s worse than if you never heard His name. You’re on a very slippery slope if you think that embracing Torah means that you deny Yeshua, His Messiahship and that He’s Yahweh. There are certain things that are central to the faith and there are certain doctrines that I believe are non-negotiable. I believe Yeshua being Yahweh was one of those important things.

A LADY TALKING:

I just want to say that I had a friend a long time ago that we use to study together and whatever. She said – I believe that Yeshua is a god but not the God. So is that idolatry and also questioned the fact that how could Yeshua be Yahweh when Yeshua was in the womb. Who was taking care of the whole world?

EDDIE SPEAKING:

I know that people ask those questions. I think we’ve tried to address that. The problem is we start thinking with our logical mind and the bible says the logical mind is an enemy of God. The logical mind cannot know God. The logical mind meaning the Geek mind cannot know God. See, one thing we need to realize is the bible is not about having the right belief intellectually. It’s about having a personal relationship with the Messiah. I think too many people have gone to church and they have followed things intellectually but they’ve never committed their hearts and they’ve never had a living relationship with the Messiah.

The only way that I can – the best way that I can explain this is – I would be in services and I would see people really worshiping and they would really enter in with their hearts. I’m sitting there and I love to sing. I like good songs. I love to participate in good songs but I’m more – I usually sing – my heart is in it and I’m singing – this is hard to describe. I’m singing from my heart. I like being in the environment. I love the songs. The songs minister to my heart but unless you experience it – which I have a couple of times, that’s the only way I can relate to it –there’s another place where you actually with your whole heart just completely enter in and that’s when the spirit really ministers to you. That’s a different place. There are moments when for example, I could sing the same song fifty times. I love the song. The song ministers to me. But there’s another moment when I actually get into another dimension. I sing with my heart and it just lifts me. Unless you’ve been there you don’t know.

So in that same regard when people talk about having a personal relationship – unless you’ve been there, you don’t know the difference between an intellectual understanding and a personal relationship. I think ultimately too many people have gone to church for a long time and they know ABOUT Yeshua. They know ABOUT His words. They can quote you scripture but I really question in some regards whether they honestly had a personal relationship and if He’s been real to them. Otherwise, how can you so easily question Him and who He is? It means you really – (SOME OF THIS IS MISSING ON LINE)

LADY TALKING:

It was commented on in some of these e-mails that I’ve been receiving at least, I can’t speak for any of the other e-mails that have been going out – that – well, Christianity or as they called it Constantine Christianity, I don’t care what name you put on it – believes in the fact that Jesus is God. As you were saying earlier, they are thowing the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. But the scripture say that even the demons believe and shudder. It doesn’t make it untrue just because the demons believe it. They believe it because it’s true. And we have to go to a passage of scripture that I believe is probably the least used in Christianity, Hebraic Roots or anything else today.
Exodus chapter 20:

1 Eloheim spoke all these words, saying,
2 I am Yahweh Eloheinu,

So this is Yahweh speaking.

2 ….who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Eddie, you went through the scriptures that showed that was Yeshua. But Yahweh here is the one says I did it.

3 You shall have no other gods before Me.

Okay. No other gods.

4 You shall not make for yourself an idol

Ask yourself the question. If He is the Messiah and I worship Him – is He therefore an idol?
Well, let’s see what Exodus says.

4 You shall not make for yourself an idol of anything that is in heaven above or the earth beneath or the water under the earth.
5 You shall not worship them nor serve them.

I have read statement after statement after statement and the volumes of paper that I have printed off the internet this week from these websites that say Yeshua is the Messiah and I worship Him and I’ll serve Him with my dying breath. But He’s not God. Therefore, then this is idolatry. This is idolatry. There is no God but Yahweh. There is no savior Mashiach but Yahweh. And if you worship anyone, none of my worship, not one modicum of my worship should go to anyone but Yahweh because if that part of my worship goes anywhere else then it’s idolatry. So I’m going to worship Yeshua. He better be Mashiach and if there’s only one Mashiach and that Yahweh or I’m in trouble.

Man speaks

Back a few years I used to follow the teachings of Dr. Walter Martin pretty closely. We had a book that most everyone took in and studied as a work on defining cults. In it, just as Theresa was pointing out – the way you would know a cult from something that was genuine was the fact that they would separate Yeshua or Jesus and then He would become some other god. Dr. Martin would use that very text in that God will not allow any other to be worshipped. Only He and so if there’s someone that’s being put on a pedestal and given any kind of worship at all then that becomes an idol and so it debunks that particular brand of belief.

Eddie Speaking

Well, as you know we were planning on doing a service here but obviously the Spirit of Yah wanted something else to be done so we have given you quite a detailed teaching on Yeshua being Yahweh. We pray that it has been a blessing to you. For those of you on Pal Talk, we will definitely replay this for you so you can share with your friends and invite your friends to listen to this very vital and important teaching. Remember always these words from I John chapter 2 verse 6:

6 He that saith he abideth in him (that is a believer in Yeshua as Messiah) ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.

Yeshua kept the Torah of His Father. Even so we need to follow the Torah of the Father which means we follow the Torah of the Messiah who is Yahweh. May He receive all of our glory and honor and praise. In Yeshua’s name. Amen.
